Contribution to the Report on Citizens’ dialogues and Citizens’ participation in the EU decision-making

Values Unite contributed to the “Report on Citizens’ dialogues and Citizens’ participation in the EU decision-making” currently being worked on in the AFCO Committee of the European Parliament. The report points out the “need to enhance the European dimension of citizenship education, by improving their understanding of the EU, in order to enable citizens’ participation”. In the light of the upcoming Conference on the Future of Europe, it has become very clear how important citizenship eduction is for providing citizens with the skills and knowledge needed to take advantage of such European participatory opportunities.
